South Central Railways to run 54 Special Trains
The South Central Railways announced that it would be instituting 54 special trains to help deal with the excessive demand and current over-crowding of some of its routes. The routes in question were Chennai Central to Santragachi in Kolkata, Puducherry to Santragachi, and Hyderabad to Kakinada Town. All the special trains will have bogeys in classes ranging from AC Three-tier, Sleeper and General Second Class, and will pass through the major railway hub of Vijayawada. The details of the trains are as follows, organized as pairs of train and return train, where indicated, along the routes indicate:
1) Train number 07001, from Hyderabad to Kakinada Town will depart at 21:05 hours on June 29, and arrive in Kakinada Town at 09:25 hours on June 30.
2) Train number 07002, from Kakinada Town to Hyderabad will depart at 18:10 hours on July 1, and arrive in Hyderabad at 06:35 hours on July 2.
3) Train number 82612, from Puducherry to Santragachi (Kolkata), and will leave at 19:15 hours on August 18, and arrive in Santragachi (Kolkata) at 04:30 hours on August 20. This is a “Suvidha Special Train”.
4) Train Number 06010, from Puducherry to Santragachi (Kolkata) will depart on Saturdays (July 7, 14, 21 and 28; August 4, 11 and 25; September 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29) at 19:15 hours, and arrive in Santragachi (Kolkata) at 04:30 hours on Mondays (July 9, 16, 23 and 30; August 6, 13 and 27; September 3, 10, 17 and 24; October 1). This is a Special Fare train.
5) Train number 06009, from Santragachi (Kolkata) to Puducherry will depart at 14:10 hours on Mondays (July 9, 16, 23 and 30; August 6, 13, 20 and 27; September 3, 10, 17 and 24; October 1), and arrive in Puducherry at 21:45 hours on Tuesdays (July 10, 17, 24 and 31; August 7, 14, 21 and 28; September 4, 11, 18 and 25; October 2). This is a Special Fare train.
6) Train number 06058, from Chennai Central to Santragachi (Kolkata) will depart at 15:15 hours on Wednesdays (July 4, 11 and 25; August 1, 8 ,22 and 29; September 5, 12, 19 and 26), and arrive in Santragachi (Kolkata) at 19:00 hours on Thursdays (July 5, 12 and 26; August 2, 9, 23 and 29; September 6, 13, 20 and 27). This is a Special Fare train.
7) Train number 06057, from Santragachi (Kolkata) to Chennai Central will depart at 23:50 hours on Thursdays (July 5, 12, 19 and 26; August 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; October 6, 13, 20 and 27) and will arrive in Chennai Central at 05:30 on Saturdays (July 7, 14, 21 and 28; August 4, 11, 18 and 25; September 1; October 8, 15, 22 and 29). This is a Special Fare Train.
