138 Indians, including 132 crew members and six passengers, were among the 3,711 people on board the luxury cruise ship. It went into quarantine off Japan on February 5. Medical crew found that a former passenger had tested positive for the virus.
Of these, 16 tested positive for coronavirus and will remain in Japan for treatment, while the rest will return to India.

They went into quarantine due to # COVID19 aboard the #DiamondPrincess ship. Appreciate the relief from the Japanese authorities. “
In a health report, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan urged Indians to avoid unnecessary trips. This is to Singapore, South Korea, Iran and Italy after the corona virus broke out.
