Nagarjuna and Nani’s drunken bromance in devadas has worked its magic at the BO and producer Ashwini Dutt is thrilled. “The collections are saying cheers!”, he remarks, adding, “People are loving the film; the response has been tremendous thanks to the positive word of mouth talk surrounding the film.” The comic camaraderie between lead pair is what has got the audiences rolling in laughter reckons director Sriram Adittya. “From day one, we wanted Nagarjuna garu and Nani to be our Deva and Das. But the prospect of bringing both of them on board seemed very daunting initially, however, everything worked out beautifully. From the moment Nagarjuna sir and Nani came on the sets, the energy levels were on a different scale. What you see on screen is a reflection of how they are like off-screen. They are both two loveable people and the moment they came on board, we knew we have a winner on our hands,” he explains. The director is all praise for his ensemble cast — female leads, Rashmika Mandanna and Aakanksha Singh; Murali Sharma, Rao Ramesh, Naresh and Vennela Kishore.
