Bahubali 2 Won the best International Film of the year

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ has won the best International Film of the year award for 2017 at the 44th edition of Saturn Awards, that was held on June 27, 2018, Burbank, California. The second installment became the first ever Tollywood film to win in the Best International Film section, that focuses on a selection of the best in science, fiction, fantasy and horror by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. Other nominees include ‘Brimstone’, ‘The Lodgers’, ‘The Man Who Invented Christmas’, ‘The Square’ and ‘Wolf Warrior 2’. ‘Baahubali 2’ defeated the aforementioned films and was awarded the Best International Film. Bankrolled by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works, the film features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Nassar and Tamannaah. One of the most anticipated movies of the year, ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ created quite a buzz among film buffs, and was well-received by the audience and the critics alike with over Rs 1600 crores collection at the worldwide box office to become the highest grosser in South India.
