“We extend our sincere condolences to the immediate family members of the deceased and wish the injured a speedy recovery. India is ready to provide all possible assistance to affected families in the Afghan. It is for both Hindu and Sikh communities.” said a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA).
The Taliban, in fragile peace negotiations with President Ashraf Ghani’s government, has denied any role in the attack. The MEA indicated Pakistan’s involvement in the law. It said it was the attack that took place when both Afghanistan and India fought the COVID-19 pandemic. This reflected “the devilish minds of the perpetrators and their supporters.”
India praised the Afghan security forces for freeing the hostages and eliminating the fighters.

The Afghan security forces had cleared one floor of the temple, the Interior Ministry said earlier. He also said that they were advancing cautiously to avoid further casualties.

In 2018, the Sikh community was the target of a suicide attack. They killed over a dozen people in the city of Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan. The Islamic State took responsibility for the attack.
The attack on the Sikh temple comes a day after the announcement from US. It has announced that it will cut aid to Afghanistan by $ 1 billion. Afghanistan’s political leaders have failed to reach agreement. It is about who should govern the country or negotiate an upcoming peace deal with the Taliban. By this time security forces closed the encounter. The Gurudwara is free from terrorists now.
