A remake of the 90’s cult movie ‘Gang Leader’ is apparently in the works, but with some major changes. The cult classic starred Megastar Chiranjeevi as an unemployed youth Rajaram who searches for a job along with his friends’ gang gets in trouble with a business tycoon.
Chiranjeevi, who attended the pre-release event of his nephew Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Tej I Love You’, hinted that a new version of ‘Gang Leader’ would come under the production of Creative Commercials banner and Ram Charan will portray the leading role in the film. The Vijay Bapineedu directorial still remains a cult action family entertainer. Be it Chiranjeevi’s outstanding performance, his dance moves and fight sequences, Bappi Lahiri’s music, Rao Gopal Rao’s villanism, everything in the film seemed to have worked out well. It was reportedly a blockbuster and commercially a hit at the box-office. Other details regarding the remake are yet to be revealed officially. Producer KS Rama Rao has reportedly started the scripting work and is promising a diverse casting for the film’s cast.
