Realme 5i is finally official, after numerous teasers and leaks. The new budget smartphone was launched in Vietnam on Monday and will find its way to India on Thursday. It is a somewhat watered down version of the Realme 5. The Realme 5i has a quadruple rear view camera setup with special wide-angle and macro snappers. It is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and has a 6.52-inch display with water drops. As a previous listing by retailers showed, the Realme 5i is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC with up to 4 GB of RAM.

Realme 5i costs VND 3,690,000 (approximately Rs. 11,500) for the basic variant with 3 GB RAM + 32 GB memory, while the top tier model with 4 GB RAM + 64 GB memory VND 4,290,000 (approximately Rs. 13,500) costs. The new Realme phone is available in blue and green and is now available for purchase from several online retailers in Vietnam.

Android Pie with ColorOS 6.0.1 runs on the Dual-SIM Realme 5i. It is equipped with a 6.5-inch HD + display (720 x 1600 pixels) with a water drop effect, a contrast ratio of 1200: 1 and Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ for protection. The display has a screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent and is said to deliver 480 nits of peak brightness. The new Realme phone is powered by the Octa-Core SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 with up to 4 GB RAM.
Realme 5i includes a quadruple rear view camera with a 12 megapixel main camera and an aperture of 1: 1.8. It is supported by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 1: 2.25 lens and a viewing angle of 118.9 degrees, a 2-megapixel portrait camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera with a 4 cm close-up range. On the front is an 8 megapixel camera with an aperture of 1: 2.0. Camera features include 4K video recording at 30 frames per second, slow motion video recording at 120 frames per second and Super Night mode.
The Realme 5i is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10 W charging. It offers up to 64 GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 256 GB). Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS. The sensors on board the Realme 5i are a compass, an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor, an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a fingerprint sensor for authentication. The Realme phone measures 164.4 x 75 x 9.3 mm and weighs 195 grams.
